To Share is Human

Sharing the love.

Our little Max started doing the cutest thing today! (Shocking, I know.) He started sharing his food (his favoritest snack, veggie fries) and feeding us. He takes a bite then gives you a bite and when you crunch down he just cracks up. It's not as funny to him as stealing Dan's glasses but it close. Stealing Dan's glasses can literally make him fall over laughing. VERY cute. Naturally, I didn't get any pictures but I can tell you that you'd rather catch him on the first bite of veggie fry than the last. I got the last bite and shall we say it was both wet and warm. EeeeeeeeeewwwWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Little Max fast asleep in his new favorite position. Always makes me smile.

Lyle in the groceries.

Dripping dry and hanging with Grandma.

I adore his little curls in back.

Love my Daddy!

Look at those BABY BLUES.

Days Gone By...

So, here are a few pictures of "Farmer Max" from the end of July. I think they are hilarious.

For those of you who've seen the truck, you know the very thought of Max behind the wheel of such a vehicle is just too much. Dan takes him out to the truck sometimes so he can "drive" and he just has a ball.

This little boy just loves his daddy and looking out the window/screen door. Looks like he's got a win-win situation here.

Look at those TEETH

There's no doubt about it - he's a shark in a baby costume. He has multiple rows of teeth from front to back. One falls out and another just slides into place. Can you believe that such a tiny guy could have teeth so BIG. My goodness. And they hurt when they clamp down on your skin.

I guess this is why he was so cranky when they were first moving about. There is one thing I still haven't figured out. Where were those things stored before they broke through the gums? Seriously, these things are bigger than his nose. In fact, I might even say they are GIENORMOUS.

In all my attention on the teeth I forgot to mention that he can pull up and has even tried to stand on his own a few times. Go Max!

This is the first time he pulled up on the crib. He was not happy at being left to fall asleep. He started creating quite the ruckus so I went to check on him and quickly left to grab the camera to document the event.

Not too happy about the "night vision" camera and flash. Mean ol' Mama.

Then he realizes, "I'm standing. This is kind of cool..."

Here he is actually standing on the bed. It's pretty fun!

Olympic Fever

Max did not want to miss out on the Olympic action, so here he is in his Team USA uniform with his coach, who is also his Dad, Dan Zander. You will notice that unlike the Men's 4x100m relay, he does not have a bib with the team name handwritten in Magic Marker.

Though he was only able to view a few Olympic competitions he is really quite the Olympic fan. The Men's Waterpolo final was by far the most significant, if not boring as whale snot, event Max saw. He really hoped to check out the Gymnastics and the Team Synchronized Swimming competition to see what all the fuss was about on the Spanish costumes. (I think the committee did the Spanish gals a favor by disqualifying those light up suits. Think about the misfortunes if a wardrobe failure were to occur.) Maybe next time...

Originally drawn to the Triple Jump, he ended up excelling in the "Glasses Steal." He really is a natural and when coupled with his days of training and hard work,

In competition...

The final and decisive move that clenched the Gold Medal.

Just realizing that he's done it. After days of thinking about it, Max has the gold medal.

Both exhausted and elated after the finals, Max is mesmerized by the raising of the American flag.

Waiting for his one-on-one with Bob Costas.

Grandma's Here!!!

Exciting times at the ZanderBarry household. Grandma Christie is visiting!!!

It's been a challenging couple of weeks here with childcare issues, busy work for both mom and dad and a stressed out mama, sooooooo Barb's mom offered to come stay for a while. We instantly accepted her offer and are so glad to have her.

Boos Boos (Kiss in Farsi - at least we think that's how you spell it.)

Max is loving every minute with his Grandma Christie. They play peek-a-boo, drop anything and everything off the high chair and all sorts of games. Look at these ultra cool ducks Grandma brought for Max.

Trying to pull up.

When Max finally goes to sleep it's Hoover's turn to get in on the action. She's getting quite spoiled with walks and all sorts of lovin'.
